Ron Wilkins has been a music educator for over 35 years and is currently a professor at Texas State University. He has held positions at the University of Texas: San Antonio, The University of Incarnate Word, Texas Lutheran University, St. Mary's University, and Northwest Vista College. 

 

Ron has been a guest clinician at schools and Universities all around the country. Ron's mastery of low brass instruments, voice, and diverse performance exeperience provide a memorable learning experience for students of music. 

 

Ron has also maintained a private studio with exceptional results. His students have gone on to perform with groups such as the Buffalo Philharmonic, on Broadway, won positions with the US military bands, won presigious compitions such as ITF solo competitions, have successful freelance careers, and some have become teachers themselves. He now teaches low brass, improvisation, and vocal students all over the globe thanks to Skype.
